Utility Clients Past Performance

Our data analytics team has enabled our utility clients get the most out of their data.

For a Fortune 1000 Energy Holding company and one of the largest distributors of natural gas, we led a data migration effort that is part of a larger venture aimed at making the energy holding company systems web-based. The migration involved real-time data transfer from their mainframe system to SQL server that stream-lined their utility distribution, customer management and service orders maintenance and this enabled quick reaction to volatile market-consumer trends.

For a leading Utility company’s Enterprise Analytics Team, we provided full-stack support for SAS Product offerings. We deployed SAS Grid and SAS Viya Analytics Environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the environment spanned across 12 servers with shared storage. We installed SAS Predictive Analytics and Reporting Tools including SAS Energy Forecasting Server. We served as the primary technical liaison between SAS and the client.

For a leading Electric Utility Holding Company, we performed software architecture review and modeling using SAS Risk Dimensions. We Implement credit calculations, including simulation of default times, credit migration, and expected losses, re-architect current risk dimensions implementation to support user-defined models for price & volatility processes, and implement new risk factors in risk dimensions, including weather, stochastic volatility, and stochastic interest rates.

A robust Business Intelligence strategy will enable all business users to analyze and visualize large data sets from multiple sources.
